Judge Jeanine Ignites GOP at Annual Kent County Dinner

This past Saturday night, February 18th, the Kent County Republican Committee held its Annual Lincoln Day Dinner at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino. The keynote speaker was the firebrand conservative FOX News commentator Judge Jeanine Pirro of “Justice with Judge Jeanine.” For those familiar with her show, and her straight forward delivery, she stayed true to form. She opened her remarks by stating that she was here to stand together for the values of God, Faith, Country, Constitution, and to support John Marino, candidate for Delaware’s 10th Senate District.

She spoke extemporaneously on two main topics: immigration and protests. She spoke against sanctuary cities and the need to return to law and order. When discussing Pres. Trump's Executive Order on Immigration, she explained that it was that it did not exempt people with green cards or visas, but that being said, “we have the right to protect our borders.” She offered a few antidotes: Saudi Arabia recently deported 1,000s of muslims. “We have the right to also limit our immigration and to deport those who are not here legally,” said Judge Pirro. Another example involved a couple in Corpus Christi, Texas, who left their baby in their car while they attended a movie. The couple was from Saudi Arabia and was not arrested for child endangerment because “it was not against the law in their country.” Judge Pirro pointed out that this is an example of Sharia Law creeping into the U.S. She further added that, “Sharia law is incompatible with the Constitution; it does not allow for Free Speech.”

Judge Pirro also recounted her experience at the Women's March in Washington DC this past January. According to her, the marchers were hired, “revolutionaries” determined to overthrown the Constitution. She shared with the audience that while in a hotel elevator with two of the “marchers,” her cameraman asked them how much a room cost. They could not answer him as it was clear that they did not pay to stay in the hotel; someone else paid. Similarly, the Berkeley incident was not a protest; it was a riot. “They were not from Berkeley they were brought in from other places. These were anarchists and revolutionaries brought in from other places to tear down the school,” said Judge Pirro. There was one arrest and only because the guy wanted to be arrested, she remarked. The mayor was not interested in making an arrest.

Judge Pirro rallied the audience as she ended her remarks; “John Marino represents the values that we all believe in.” And “Get Ready! This is our last chance; the numbers are against us...they will change the demographics forever,” said Judge Pirro. She received a standing ovation.

Jeanine Pirro joined the Fox News Channel (FNC) in 2006 and currently serves as a legal analyst as well as the host of “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” which is broadcast on Saturdays, at 9 0'clok P.M. EST. Her legal career spanned 40 years. She began as an assistant district attorney for Westchester County, New York in the 1970s. In 1990, she was the first women elected to serve as judge in Westchester County Court. In 1997, she was appointed by then-Governor George Pataki to chairman the New York State Commission on Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board.
